Knowings collapsed following a severe asthma attack and was admitted to a hospital in the Los Angeles area on Friday, August 7.

The attack caused significant brain damage, and after several days on life support, her family took the agonising decision to withdraw it. She passed away on Tuesday, August 11.

Born and raised in the Bronx, Knowings joined the cast of All That in 1997, appearing in more than 30 episodes across three seasons.

The show, widely regarded as a sketch-comedy series made for a younger generation, gave her the platform to display her remarkable range.

Her castmates included some of the biggest names to emerge from that era of Nickelodeon, among them Kenan Thompson, Nick Cannon and Kel Mitchell.

Beyond the show, Knowings appeared on Sesame Street with her twin brother Chris Knowings and released the folk track To the World in 2020, demonstrating the breadth of her creative interests.
