Rongo University has opened applications for 22 positions across its administrative and academic divisions.
The university's Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Finance and Planning, announced the vacancies, inviting applications from qualified Kenyan candidates for roles at varying grade levels.
The public institution announced the vacancies in MyGov on Tuesday, July 14, and set a deadline of Monday, July 27, for job seekers to submit their applications.
Which vacancies did Rongo University advertise?
On the administrative side, the university seeks to fill 14 posts.
These include one medical officer at grade RU 12, one assistant pharmaceutical technologist I at grade RU 8, two technicians II at grade RU 7, five administrative assistants II at grade RU 7, and five clerical officers II at grade RU 5.
Eight academic posts are also on offer.
The university is looking for a senior lecturer in nursing at grade RU 13, as well as lecturers in physical education, performing arts, mining, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data science, and broadcast media, all at Grade RU 12.
Two positions, lecturer in special needs education (hearing impairment) and lecturer in technology education (computer studies), have been re-advertised at the same grade.
How to apply for Rongo University jobs
Candidates are required to submit ten copies of their application packages, each containing an application letter, an updated curriculum vitae, certified copies of academic and professional certificates including transcripts, evidence of work experience, and relevant testimonials.
Each application must carry the reference number of the specific post on both the letter and the envelope. Referees should send their recommendation letters in sealed envelopes directly to the deputy vice-chancellor, administration, finance and planning, P.O. Box 103-40404, Rongo.
Rongo University noted that it is an equal opportunity employer and encouraged applications from women, persons with disabilities, and individuals from marginalised communities.
"Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and any form of canvassing will result in automatic disqualification," it said.
