The programme runs from 1 September to 30 November 2026, offering students a structured opportunity to gain hands-on newsroom and production experience before completing their studies.

The programme is open to students in the final year of degree or diploma courses in Journalism, Media Studies, Communications, Digital Communication, or Corporate Communication at recognised universities and colleges in Kenya.
To be considered, applicants must submit a recommendation letter from their institution, issued within the last two months and indicating the required attachment period.
They must also provide current academic transcripts, a valid student identification card, a valid 2026 MCK Student Press Card, and samples of their journalistic work. Work samples may include published online articles, school projects, or other relevant media content.
