- Kanyari's candid remarks about his love life have stirred mixed reactions online
Pastor Victor Kanyari is clearly not short of admirers.
The Salvation Healing Ministry founder has opened up about the sheer volume of romantic attention he receives from women, and his take on it all is nothing short of dramatic.
Do women DM Pastor Kanyari?
Speaking candidly during a recent sermon, Kanyari revealed that his direct messages are constantly packed with women professing their love and pledging to take care of him.
According to the preacher, the interest is so intense that some women have resorted to contacting his close associates just to get closer to him.
Rather than being flattered, though, Kanyari appeared genuinely wary of the attention.
"Daddy, I love you. I'll take care of you. They usually think that I lack women in my life. My DMs are full. Even they will DM Mjukuu. They usually want to be connected with me. They call me Bobi Mapesa. You think they actually want me? They just want to come and finish me. They want to kill me. They want to finish me with depression," Kanyari said.
Kanyari's love life
The preacher has been navigating single fatherhood since his separation and eventual divorce from gospel musician Betty Bayo, with whom he shares two children, Sky and Danny.
The split came amid significant public scrutiny over his ministry, yet both parents managed to maintain a relatively amicable co-parenting arrangement for the sake of their kids.
Bayo went on to remarry, while Kanyari stayed single for years, at one point citing his high standards as the reason and expressing concern that bringing a new woman into his home could disturb the peace he had built for his children.
The situation grew more complicated when Bayo passed away in late 2025 after a battle with acute leukaemia, leaving Kanyari and the children to grieve her loss.
He publicly spoke about the pain of losing someone who, despite the end of their marriage, remained an important figure in his family's life.
With Bayo's death still fresh, Kanyari's latest comments about being pursued by women online add a new dimension to public curiosity about his personal life.
The tone of his remarks suggests he is approaching the attention with deep caution, convinced that the motives behind some of the messages may not be entirely sincere.
Whether or not he eventually opens his heart to someone new remains to be seen, but for now, the pastor seems content keeping his DMs on lockdown.
