KPLC Announces Power Cuts in 5 Counties on Monday

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in five counties on Monday, August 24, as part of its planned maintenance activities.
In a notice on Sunday, August 23, the company said the electricity interruptions will affect selected areas in Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, Migori, Meru and Laikipia counties.
In Uasin Gishu County, Kipkeino School and surrounding areas will experience an interruption from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The affected locations include Kipkeino School, St. Jacobs School and Kaptich, as well as adjacent customers.
In Kisumu County, power will be interrupted in Gatundu from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM. The affected areas include Gatundu Primary, Kencel Tower, Gatundu Market and Gatundu Village Market, together with adjacent customers.
In Migori County, Ntimaru and surrounding areas will be without electricity from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The interruption will affect Ntimaru Town, Wangirabose, Teragai, Bongibo, Kwiho, Angatta, Mangoke, Nyaroa and Nyamutiro, among other adjacent customers.

In Meru County, the scheduled interruption will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Mikumbune Market and Ntemwene.
Areas listed for the outage include Mikumbune Market, Macikine Girls Secondary School, Rugejo Coffee Factory, Gaatia Market, Nyanya Market, Covenant Hospital, Ntemwene Market, Kathera Boys Secondary School and Kandigi Coffee Factory, as well as adjacent customers.
The longest and most extensive interruption will affect parts of Laikipia County, where power will be cut from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM across Whole of Nanyuki and Mukima.
The affected locations include Nanyuki Town, Thingithu Estate, Teachers Estate, Cidar Mall, Nanyuki High School, Laikipia Air Base, British Army Training Unit Kenya, Muthaiga Estate, Kanyoni Estate, Sitara Millers and Nanyuki General Hospital.
Other affected areas in Laikipia include Fair Mount Safari Club, 1KR, Baraka Estate, Sweet Waters, Mirera, Marura, Njoguini, Rwai Estate, Kirimo, Ichuga, Makutano Estate, Kangaita, Mathagiro, Ntrukuma, Nkando, Likii Estate, Likii Farm, Milimani, Katheri, Ontulili, Mwireri, Naibor, Jua Kali, Kimuri and Edana.
The interruption will also affect Segera Mission, Ngarengiro, Olpajeta, Mayan Hotel, KHE Farm, Muramati, Mukima, Airstrip, Bantu Lodge, Ngarariga, Kamangura, Ragati, Kwa Mwea, Toll, Gathiuru, Gakawa, Mureru, Giachuma, Gatuanyaga, and Kadara.
Thome, Matanya, Weruini, Lamuria, Muthangira, Oltaveta, Ngobit, Withare, Kahuruko, Kona Mbaya, Sirma, Solio Villages, Sangare and SDA Kwahuku, alongside adjacent customers will also be affected.
