Kenyan comedian Francis Munyao, better known as MCA Tricky, has officially joined the ranks of registered engineers after receiving his Certificate of Registration from the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
The media personality announced the milestone on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday, 19 August, sharing that he had visited the EBK offices to collect the certificate in person.
What did Tricky say about his registration?
In his post, he expressed gratitude to CPA Tony Kibet, Manager Communications Ruth Kwamboka, and Senior Officer Mr. Mumo for the warm reception they extended to him during the visit.
"It was a great honour to receive my Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) Certificate of Registration. Grateful to CPA Tony Kibet, Manager Communications Ruth Kwamboka, and Senior Officer Mr Mumo for the warm welcome at your offices. We're cruising nicely," he wrote, tagging the Engineers Board of Kenya in the post.
Tricky has long been celebrated for managing to thrive in two very different worlds.
While building his entertainment career through platforms such as Churchill Show and radio, he was simultaneously grinding through the demanding coursework required of an engineering student.
He graduated from Kenyatta University in December 2019 with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree before going on to pursue further studies in Mechatronics Engineering, including a master's path at JKUAT.
His EBK registration now puts an official stamp on years of academic effort alongside a busy entertainment schedule.
