Teachers Service Commission (TSC) member nominee Wilson Sossion has disclosed that his net worth stands at Ksh 65 million.
Sossion revealed his wealth on Wednesday, August 20, while appearing before the National Assembly’s Departmental Committee on Education for vetting.
The former Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General noted that his wealth comprises two houses, land, savings in Saccos and a motor vehicle.
“My net worth excluding liabilities is actually at Ksh 65 million,” Sossion revealed.
Sossion also pledged to defend the TSC and promote constructive engagement between the commission and its social partners if approved for the position.

“I am sure that the government, compared to other countries, is pro-teachers in terms of work. I will defend the commission, and I will do that what is necessary in terms of promoting constructive engagement with the social partners,” he said.
Further, Sossion said he will ensure TSC is administered in accordance with its policies and vowed to remain committed to both the commission and teachers.
“I am going to commit myself to ensuring the commission is administered within the policies. I am very strong in my decisions. I am not going to betray the commission, nor am I going to betray the teachers of Kenya,” added Sossion.
President William Ruto nominated Sossion and Antonina Lentoijoni to be members of TSC on July 21.
The Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei, in a statement said the nominations are intended to fill vacancies that arose earlier this year.
"The following Presidential nominations have been transmitted to Parliament for consideration and approval in accordance with the Constitution and the relevant statutes," the statement read.
Sossion previously served as KNUT secretary-general from 2013 to 2021 and as a nominated Member of Parliament between 2017 and 2022.
