APN greater than college masterclass graduates its second cohort
This story has significance for readers across Kenya and beyond.
APN Greater Than College (GTC) has graduated its second Masterclass in Strategic Communications cohort, committing to enhance communication experts’ contribution to higher corporate revenues and achievement of their organizations’ objectives.
The course, an intensive professional training program, helps public relations and communication experts move from managing tasks to offering high-level strategic leadership toward achieving organisational objectives.
Speaking during the ceremony, APN Group Managing Director and the Course Director Lawrence Gikaru said communication professionals must affirm their position by acquiring skills that enable them to develop campaigns that contribute to achieving their respective organisational objectives.
“Communication must deliver value that top management aspires for at all times. That means developing communication that decision-makers readily allocate budgets for their implementation. Communication experts must then lead their corporate agenda of achieving behavioral change to their target audience in a way that elicits meaningful action as envisaged in every corporate objective,” he said.
Gikaru said the course customizes the requirements of individual organisations, giving participants an opportunity to develop their customized campaign challenges based on their specific organisational needs. The campaigns, once rolled out, receive support from the college’s tutors to ensure success.
Applicants to the APN Greater Than College Strategic Masterclass starting on October 7, 2026 are expected to submit a campaign challenge prior to enrolling into the six week hybrid course. Each challenge will equip every participant with the relevant skills customized to meet their organization’s objectives through the execution of the prototype campaigns.
A cohort two participant and graduate, Ms Wangeci Kibunja, hailed her prototype campaign saying it reflects a planned communication drive to be released soon to the public informing them of their company’s expanded product portfolio.
The graduates welcomed the customized training modules saying they enabled them to curate campaigns that directly speak to their customers’ needs through the right channels and by targeting the right audiences.
Each prospective Masterclass learner pays Sh45,000 for the course delivered in a physical-cum-virtual model.
