Gachagua Comes to Aid of Ng’eno’s Brother With KSh1.8 Million Hospital Bill
This story has significance for readers across Kenya and beyond.
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has pledged to clear the KSh1.8 million hospital bill for the late Johana Nge’no’s brother.
Speaking on Friday in Mogondo, Emurua Dikirr, Gachagua alleged that Nge’no’s family had not received any support since the death of the former Emurua Dikirr MP.
The former Deputy President accused government officials of neglecting the Nge’no family since he was buried.
“Since Ng’eno died, no one has looked for his mother. They only started looking for her after they heard that Riggy G was coming. She has been struggling, and as we speak, her son is in hospital in Eldoret, and he has a bill of KSh1.8 million.
“No one from the government has helped her. They promised this mother that she would not face any difficulties, but they have not helped her,” he claimed.

Gachagua assured Ng’eno’s mother that he and his friends would step in to help settle the Ksh1.8 million hospital bill.
“I have told Ng’eno’s mother that we will take care of the bill. Together with my friends, we will settle the matter and ensure that her son, who is in hospital, is taken care of,” Gachagua stated.
The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader also offered to build a mausoleum for the late Ng’eno.
Gachagua made the commitment after Ng’eno’s mother requested him to help construct a mausoleum over her son’s grave.
In a statement, Gachagua said he has instructed designers to develop a design that Ng'eno's mother will be comfortable with and that work should commence immediately.
“I will help in the construction of a mausoleum in remembrance of my friend Johanna Ng'eno. I have instructed the designers to develop a design that Mama will be comfortable with. Work should commence immediately,” Gachagua stated.
